Johny Dar 'Sensoria' LFW SS20

Updated: Nov 7, 2019

@londonbeautifullife went down to a number of shows for London Fashion Week, but by far our favourite was Johny Dar's show.

Johny Dar known for his unpredictable and original creation's I knew this would be an amazing experience to attend too.

Johny Dar is an artist, designer, musician and director pioneering original forms of artistic expression through fine art, fashion, music and multimedia. His groundbreaking creative work is at the vanguard of artistic innovation today, and has been hailed as a budding new renaissance, attracting international acclaim across a wide range of industries and media. All Johny’s artworks are inspired by organic intelligence and pioneer an original aesthetic, as well as trailblazing geometric and mathematical properties. (

It was the fourth day into London Fashion Week SS20 and in the evening at Aures London by Waterloo and The London Eye, was a creative show and presentation I was extremely excited for this London Fashion Week SS20 show, presentation and event.

As I entered the guest list event, Aures London is funky, retro venue which I have never been to before. The pre-party before the catwalk was sponsored by Jägermeister, with some really funky inspired Jäger drinks.

Stand out of the pre-show was the drinks, the UV style venue and the DJ. I never notice DJ's in venues before but the DJ's that performed at the Johny Dar SS20 show was exceptional. Which should be no surprise with it being a Johny Dar show. When Johny Dar puts on anything its at it 110% best.

After a few Jäger cocktails I was ready for the main event. The catwalk.

I was blown away by Johny Dar's attention to detail on every item of clothing as well as the models he chose to model the clothes. The show was organic and adventurous. Check out some of the press photos below of the catwalk.

After the show we had the chance to see the entire collection in it's full glory at a presentation where even Johny Dar himself came out too.

After the show and presentation, was the after party where everyone let there hair down and partied to the fusion style DJ's and having Jäger drinks presented by the artistic waitresses, which even Johny himself styled and did the body artwork.

TV Producer Vicki Lou thought the entire show, presentation and party was "exciting, the atmosphere and party had a great vibe with the curation from the DJ to the lighting to the fashion, overall it was fantastic evening".

Another fantastic attribute to the show and event was the independent companies Johny Dar invited along. Two I got to chat to was the Amala Chai (@amala_chai) a London based chai company bringing authentic masala and Trovita (@trovita_home) which is an Ethically sourced homeware and accessories brand made in Indonesia.

I got to briefly meet Johny and what I loved about Johny was how humble he was and so friendly and easy to chat too. He was there to throw the party of the year. In which by the way, he succeeded.
