Shazam! Fury of the Gods lives up to its title, with this explosive sequel. The characters are as loveable as ever, with some great comedic moments throughout the film and of course action-packed with incredible VFX work and explosive superhero fight scenes.
Stand out character in this second installment is newcomer Rachel Zegler who plays Anthea. Anthea joins as the newbie at the high-school Billy Batson (played by Asher Angel) and Freddy Freeman (played by Jack Dylan Grazer) attend. Anthea's growth throughout the film is enticing and so much fun to watch. Hollywood royalty Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu kick some serious butt in this film and of course, our favourite heroes play great adult children that will keep you laughing and entertained throughout the film.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods provides laughter, love, fun, and some great kick-ass scenes that will keep you entertained from start to finish. And don't forget to watch the ever-wondering "will they, won't they do a post-scene" scene's at the end.
The film also reference other DC famous names and pokes at some funny Marvel names to bring you nostalgia when watching. Although there is a huge cast in this film you start to fall in love with every single one of them as we get a closer look into each character's personalities and lives.
You also may or may not get a split-second scene from everyone's most hated doll, Annabelle in this film.
