Freaky Friday just got Freakier!

Our favourites Anna Coleman (Lindsay Lohan) and Tess Coleman (Jamie Lee Curtis) are back to freak you out to the sequel of the popular, nostalgic 2003 Freaky Friday.

With some incredible guests surprises including Chad Michael Murray to a brand new spanking new cast including Manny Jacinto (The Good Place, Star Wars: The Acolyte) to Sophia Hammons and Julia Butters.

Stand out performances are from the newbies to the Freaky world, Manny Jacinto who plays the doting fiancé Eric Davies whose proffesion is a succesful chef from London, England who shows compassion to his love interest Anna Coleman in a beautiful, moving way throughout the movie. Sophia Hammons and Julia Butters really did steal the show for me. I was very impressed from these rising stars. They hit comedy moments on point and interracted superbly with film legends Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Of course though Jamie and Lindsay are back on form again with hilarous moments as Tess and Anna. Half way through the film I did think to myself "they really enjoyed making this". Yes this is for the fans however I do feel this is also for them as well. A tick of the bucket list moment and it was so lovely to see genuine joy come through the screen from all the actors. You get a glimpse of this at the end credits too.

If you are a fan of Pink Slip fear not you do get to hear Take Me Away again however it is slightly updated for the new 2025 film.

As a fan of Freaky Friday I was excited yet nervous as I had no idea how Freakier Friday would turn out. There were plenty of times I laughed out loud and moments I got emotional. This is a sequel worth watching. However to be fully engrossed in the film I reccommend watching the first one back as a reminder.

London, Thursday July 31, 2025 - Thursday got a little freakier as the cast of Disney’s “Freakier Friday” hit the green and purple carpet at the UK premiere, held at the iconic Odeon Luxe Leicester Square.

Over 20 years since the original Freaky Friday premiered, Jamie Lee Curtis returned to London, this time joined by co-stars Lindsay Lohan and Chad Michael Murray, along with newcomers Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, and Manny Jacinto. Director Nisha Ganatra was also in attendance, along with the Producer Kristin Burr and Screenwriter Jordan Weiss.

Celebrating the nostalgic themes in the film, Disney had Y2K Girl Band Icon (Pussycat Dolls) - and Heart Radio presenter - Ashley Roberts as the host, along with Y2K Pop Band (S Club 7) Icon - and DJ - Rachel Stevens playing nostalgic music in the theatre before the film started.

“Freakier Friday,” a sequel to the beloved 2003 film with a multigenerational twist starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. In the film, Curtis and Lohan reprise their roles as Tess and Anna Coleman. The story picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice.
